Hosting a Pop Up Space
Information For Property Owners and Managers
Pop Up Spaces are temporary, site-specific art-based installations that provide experiences for visitors to not just be passive viewers, but invitations to become active participants in the event. Property owners and managers in downtown Tucson are encouraged to partner with Pop Up Spaces to provide a venue for these engaging, community-building, creative public activities. There is no cost to you, the owner/manager, to host an event. Installations will not damage, alter or soil the space in any way. Pop Up Spaces is entirely responsible for creative direction, coordination of resources and equipment, purchasing and construction of materials, and breakdown. Projects will not be produced without the owner/manager’s full approval of schematic drawings and/or prototypes as needed. This can be arranged via email or through a personal meeting. All vacant buildings located in downtown Tucson are eligible to participate.
Benefits of participation

- Keeps areas looking vital, vibrant and culturally exciting.
- Invites more pedestrian traffic for the neighboring business.
- Helps to enliven a blighted area.
- Inspires other local retailers to spruce up their own windows.
- Engages community involvement within the districts.
